Slightly and not exactly fixed like volume/power button.

It makes click noise (like cheap mp3 player) while pressing the button.

Some people like a clicking noise when a button is pressed, although that could be done though software and the noise transmitted through the headphones. That way there could be a setting on the player to disable that noise for those who don't want it.

Audio Texhnica ATH-IM50

the HS12 for sure ^_^.
your question is way too general, there are all kinds of IEMs bringing very different kinds of challenges. and even then, the technical answer(when we have one), will not mean you will prefer using it or listening to it.

Budget friendly for the win! Finally found some headphones that works well with the Fiio sound and their amp, at least to my ears. Just waiting on my Topping NX3 to complete this setup. Also converted my AIFF files to FLAC so I would not have to see that dreaded Unlnown Folder.

I just got a FiiO X1 for my birthday. Never owned any FiiO equipment before so it'll be interesting to see what the FiiO sound is like after all.
Excited to try it as a line out player into my stereo.

A Question for Mac Users...

Do you know how I can stop my Mac from creating '._' duplicate files on the player? When I browse through the 'All Songs' option from the Category menu, these ._ files are being recognized as individual music files.

This is a problem with going from any Apple filesystem to any non-Apple filesystem.
Depends on how you want to do it.
There are DS_Store cleaners for both OS X and Windows, both platforms have them and they should take care of the ._ files as well.

If you are on OS X or another unix style OS, with the terminal you can simply do a
Code:
 rm ._*
in the directory with your files.
