Oh man I want those on my Beyers. Clearly they exist, so if anyone can locate where to purchase them share a link!

They were not. Wrong address on the package... Luckily they showed up at my neighbors house. All is well again in the world and I'm too stoked on these. Thank you for the work you did on theseI've had it happen to me before but we ended up recovering the headphones. Keep your hopes up man. Hopefully they were insured for their value..

I want to chime in a little on casper's t50rps. He's letting me use them for a couple of weeks to get his name out at the upcoming meet in New England.
The original ohm on the headphones were 50ohm. With casper's mod it pushes it closer to 200-300ohm to get the full sound. The first thing I noticed is how comfortable the headphones were. He modded the headband so that its a floating band that wraps around your head. The cables are also detachable that feels and look amazing. The paint job as always is on point and looks amazing with the fostex name painted a different color.
Now for the most important part, the sound. After 4 days of listening and about 20 hours of listening time this is what I've concluded. Vocals are absolutely perfect. Numerous times I thought the sound was coming either out of my speaker or from people around me talking. The next part is subjective. If you like powerful well-controlled bass then you will love these. The bass hits hard and is well controlled. Just for me its too much. It doesn't distort the music but fatigues my ears. Being a powerful headphone the soundstage isn't as wide as the ms2000's but that is a trade-off that every powerful headphone will have. Overall if you like a slight bass-boost and have it not distort the mid/highs then you will absolutely love these.

How did the impedance of the drivers change?
I think he meant that the damping affected the sensitivity.

The box says 50ohms. I have a pair of beyerdynamic 250's that take less ampage to get to the same sound level/fullness. Looking at the t50rp forum this is common when you mod them.
When I mentioned this to casper
"Yeah I know man, I have to crank the volume on the T50RP much more than my 990."

Yes, now that you mention it I do have to turn up the tube amp a little higher for the T50RP's over the DT880's.
