Let me rephrase my question then as I’d rather have input from users than read a review.. To those that have or have had the Aonic 40, is it a good deal at $99?

For what it's worth, I tried the Aonic 50 -- the big brother of the 40s -- and hated them. Shallow cups, horrific wind noise picked up by microphones even when walking indoors, muffled sound quality, middling ANC. The design also made them feel like two tuna cans suspended on the sides of my head.

Returned them in a molten minute.

Your mileage may vary.
