Welp, this sucks. Monoprice just canceled my M565C order. Guess it goes with the territory of deep discounts like this. Hopefully, any of you that ordered one don't suffer the same fate and were able to cash in on that great deal.

I received one last Wednesday that I had ordered at the "open box" price of $79.99 previously mentioned in this thread. I may still contact them and see whether they would give me a discount because of the new lower price, although your post makes me feel better!

I checked out reviews comparing linkbuds S with the XM5. Most say the difference in performance is very close…. In fact, it looks like the Linkbud S was a stepping stone to the XM5. The S’s are on sale for $129 at target and Best Buy.

Maybe slightly off topic but wanted to share. I got these and was very frustrated because they kept powering down. I contacted CS for a possible return and discovered that the problem is the rubber wings. If you look closely on the earpiece there is a small molded flange. Whenever I put the wing on, I put it on from the outside of the earpiece and pushed them on until it it hit the flange like a stop. There is actually a molded groove inside the circumference of the wing. You have to keep pushing until that plastic flange is in the middle of the groove. Also pay attention to the orientation of the wing so that it sort of fits into the outline that is molded into the case. All of these steps will help the earpiece sit snugly in and have a better chance at charging.

Always have trouble pulling the trigger on closed cans but have been pleased with the sound/value prop for the Monolith deals on 565C and the 1570C so far!

Going to use 565C at work for in office days, the 1070C in my Home Office, and the 1570C on the nightstand.
Crazy to get all 3 for less than the price of a new 1570C

I only have have a pair of M1070 but they seem sturdy to me.
