FYI. $40 off is on select items. So cannot buy FC3 for $47-$40=$7.

$56 for FC4 can be a good deal. All depends on how good FC4 compares vs competition. I haven't see many reviews on FC4. TempTech Sonata HD III is $49, V is $49-$59. FiiO KA1 is $49. And these are Amazon prices, so no need to wait for 1-2 months shipping and free returns.

Usually worth checking with the "use now" button on the coupons page.The too good to be true deals are usually "select items only". If a $40 voucher on purchase above $40.01 is only usable on XXXS leopard print socks or a $1,200 item then the deal isn't so good. The "use now" option will show exactly which items it can be used for. :triportsad:

The way it's worded is:

US $ 40.00
For any purchase of more than US $ 40.01

But yes, I see they've limited its use. Also no longer see the $5 off $50, though I used it... bought the FC4 as noted.

The $40 off ends today, I believe.

Three words of advice: Don't do it.

Infamous is a good description of the ATH-M50x. They should live in infamy due to their excessive V-shaped sound signature and grainy, crispy treble. The M50x also is the most uncomfortable headphone I've worn, by a mile, with shallow, crappy pads and strong clamp force.

One positive: They're built like tanks and last forever. I guess it would take me backing my car over these two or three times to kill them -- which is what these cans deserve -- instead of once.

I don't understand a shred of love for the ATH-M50x. The most overrated headphone I've heard. I almost cry when people claim these are studio headphones, good for mixing. Don't ever let me hear any music that's mixed on these! :)

The HiFiMan HE-400se SLAY the M50x at $110. They're an open-back planar that needs an amp. If you must have an easy-to-drive closed back, the AKG K361/K371 OWNS the M50x at roughly the same price.

Your mileage may vary.

Refurbs are essentially new, IEMs are unused "In-Ear headphones are sealed and unopened packages", all with the full 2 year warranty and free shipping

HD660S work out to be about $300US for those who are wondering, so not bad! ...and if one can track down a "Friends Discount" code of 5 or 10% even better. : )
