Damn this adorama useless teasing. Their shipping costs half the price of decent pair. In addition to price specified on site, I had to pay all kinds of fees to receive the package. Fedex are the worst for international shipping.

$399 is about the right price for this headphone. Don't think it's a great deal. Focal prices are inflated to begin with. Who charges $200 for pads and $1000 for cable?
Yes. Adorama is not that good for us, international buyers, but the prices are REALLY good for US residents...

I own the Elegia and it is certainly worth at least $399. And plenty of companies charge $1000 for a 10ft cable. All depends on what level your playing at.

*sigh* I just bought these for $1399. Damn.
Well, anyway... that's a great price. I got mine with a torn outer box, but otherwise they are pristine and sound absolutely like a flagship headphone should. Even at the higher price, I am quite happy with them.
If you're looking for an inexpensive XLR cable to go with it (this version comes with 4.4mm balanced cable), Hart has HD800 cables starting at $75. This is a product that they only offer sporadically and is the best deal I've found for compatible cables.
