From people's experience here, when you buy the "like new" from amazon warehouse - are those customer returns, or actually brand new ones that their package was damaged?

You should expect that a like new headphone will be a customer return. In fact, any like new Amazon Warehouse product is likely to be a customer return.

If the latter - I am OK with it. But I prefer not buy customer returns (i.e. really used) IEMs if I can help it...
I’ve had good experience with the product, but be aware that you don’t get any manufacturer warranty since you are buying used. You get amazon's 30 day return.

Campfire Audio Atlas on sale direct @ Campfire for $699. Lowest I've seen for new.

Passed up on the se846 deals - already have the se535 and the se215 :deadhorse:
Went through a bunch of reviews and these seem to be for bass heads but with great separation and a huge sound stage...
We Shall see...

Give the Atlas time to open up (think fine wine) and tip roll until you find the right seal and comfort - I settled on the JVC Spiral Dots. The Atlas are my favorite IEM for classic rock!

I've had exceptionally good luck getting products this way especially when Amazon runs their extra 20% off warehouse sale 3 or 4 times a year. I have purchased like new damaged packaging on several occasions for lamps, and an external optical drive, and a Loxjie P20, and all arrived as noted a damaged box, but continents appeared new w/factory cable ties and instructions etc.

Agree I would not like a used set of IEMs, that said I did just buy a set of Audeze iSine 20's B stock from Adorama that appear brand new with original packaging and case, ear tips etc and sound exactly as expected..

Adorama has some open box and a couple of used in excellent condition Hifiman He6se V2. Price is $639 and $589 respectively.

It's worth double checking what exactly the warranty is given Hifiman's track record. I know used only carries a 90 day warranty, I'm not sure what the open box ones fall under as far as warranty goes.

I put the used $589 ones in my cart and the total came out to almost $650 (with taxes and cheapest shipping option) so I'm not sure if it's worth it over the sale price of brand new ones.

BTW, they're also listed on eBay if you have eBay bucks, etc.

After the Christmas sale, I’m amused to see so many Denon 5200 pop up...for trade :).

The 639 ones are listed as “ob” which I assume means open box. The 589 is listed as “e”, which I’m not familiar with. Exploded? Easy to break? :)
