The Deals DISCUSSION Thread (READ THE FIRST POST!!!)

While it's always possible these were stolen or lost, more likely is simple December 2020 delay. USPS has been under political and package/ballot bombardment for 6+ months. Their entire operation is abnormal & most timelines are delayed.

Last week I received an amp the seller had shipped 10 days earlier--2nd day Priority guaranteed. I actually felt lucky it showed up before the end of December...
I got one that the seller said shipped on the 15th, and it had no movement updates until few days ago. And it has an estimation date of today's arrival, but it obviously isn't arriving today as it doesn't say it arrived in my town. It's been like this holiday. I can't recall if it was like this last year, but this year is really bad.

I don't know about UPS, but I recently got the AirPods Max in two days as promised via FEDEX. 23rd just in time for Christmas gift. They probably assume it's for gift so FEDEX was reliable. That's very very good compared to USPS currently.

Sadly yes. USPS has been abysmal. And I mean that literally. Packages sent via the postal service are just thrown into an abyss.

Would you all mind to pipe down?

We have every day another 9/11 event. Postal workers are not exempt, right?

Add all that record breaking online shopping and the subsequent shipping avalanche.

All that whining in this DEALS thread is not helping.

I'd rather wait on my audio gear than waiting on vaccine shipment.

Nuff said.

Cheers & Happy New Year

I don't think people are necessarily whining... Knowing that you aren't the only one experiencing an unusual shipping delay is actually helpful and comforting. :L3000:

Not sure if it will work for everyone but I got a $30 discount from headphones.com by checking out and using my PayPal account. There was no purchase minimum as I bought a $80 iem cable. In addition, today is the last day for using 15% off discount for their gift cards. I didn't try to combine the two but perhaps that might work.

Word of caution from Will below regarding Blinq. Many head-fiers received units that had partial defects, so make sure you thoroughly test anything purchased from them. Also be sure to pay with paypal on blinq. I had the worst online purchase experience with blinq.

Surprising how many Massdrop/Drop products end up on Blinq despite Drop trying to stop them from obtaining it.

Oh, I didn't know about this. I did buy something from Drop (it's a keyboard though) through BLINQ. Maybe I just got lucky.
Reddit thread to balance it out a bit.

Notice From DAC Brands: Product Prices Update From 1st January
As we all know a mishappening happened at the Asahi Kasei Microsystems(AKM Technologies) largest factory at Nobeoka City, Japan. The was a massive three-day fire during late October this year. This disastrous event is hurting numerous top Pro-audio manufacturers around the globe due to the abundance of HiFi AKM DAC and ADC chips. This is now affecting the price of audio gears as there is a huge shortage of DAC chips in the market that has resulted in an increment in prices. The latest updated prices on affected products will be live starting 1st January 2021. But till then you can still order products at their current prices. Here’s a list of affected products and their price update.

What is the code for the 15% discount on gift cards?
Edit: Nevermind. I found it.

Darn, it's too late... sigh. Updating my post. :frowning2:

I suppose you could ask them nicely... let them know it's still Dec 31st where you are... or find a reseller that is still on the Dec 31st 2020 calendar day.
