I'm tempted just to get the Utopia pads for a reasonable price. Sell the Elears and case for around 600 and have only spent 100$ plus some time.

the used elear is about $450. The sale doesn’t have a storage case. The new hard case is about $150.

Note that the specs show 480 grams weight, which is for HEKv1. HEKv2 spec says 420 grams. Just FYI.

Thanks for that! I wasn't sure which version it was, so I left it blank, so to speak. Do you think being v1 makes that a better or worse deal?

I've never heard v1, so can't express an opinion from personal experience.

As far as I know - only difference between v1 and v2 is minor mechanical / pads / comfort related improvements. Same exact drivers and sound.
