At the price of this deal, unless you need balanced, the iFi is the better choice for its versatility, arguably better DAC, its portability, and its bass boost and soundstage adjustments. The weak channel separation on the Jot turned me off of it, but that's me. Buy both, if you can, they do fill very different roles by design.

If you just need a desktop DAC, the Modi MultiBit is great. If you need portability, the iFi is great.

Exactly what happened to me last time... I know how you feel.
On a positive note: I believe this has been the 3rd time (or maybe 4th time) in the last 5-6 months or so that price showed up. Hopefully within a month or 2 it would reappear. Keep an eye on this thread!
