Fantastic deal if it works.  The rebate (Downloaded from B&H) says  
 
" Does not include “B” stock items or specially discounted Fostex RP MK3 headsets. Items must be from original new “A” stock from a participating authorized Fostex dealer."
 
Do we know that Amazon is participating?  Is $110 specially discounted?    I am in on this but it may not be a sure thing.   Sonic Elec had a similar discounted price earlier and when I asked them if the rebate applied they never responded.

i remember reading somewhere (possibly discussions on Massdrop) that Amazon is participating, and i don't believe this would count as specially discounted, since it is known that amazon's prices fluctuate. i guess you could call fostex us to find out.
 
in any case, this kind of price is almost equivalent to a normal after-rebate price, so you really can't go wrong with this deal.

Very nice.   On the one hand it says "sale" so that may be special, but they have the rebate on the page so if denied you can fight Guitarcenter if that is your thing. 
 
The T40rps are what I really wanted due to Lachlan's comparison and me believing everything he says.  
 
If you are going to call Fostex on the 50s from Amazon, consider ordering them now and selecting Slow Boat $1 credit shipping.   You will tie in the availability and price and can cancel tomorrow if necessary.   Great possible deal on these.

Well, the amazon low price on the Fostex is gone, but I did call foster this morning, and amazon is an authorized dealer. That's good.
 
I asked about honoring the rebate if the price is a sale price, and she was a but flummoxed! She said that Amazon isn't supposed to lower the price below the MSRP. When I asked if Fostex would still honor the rebate, she said she had to ask her supervisor, and she would get back to me. So, to be continued....
 
I should have purchased it with the slow ship option jus in case. Drats
 
Even though the price is back to MSRP, it will be good to know the answer in case the price falls again.
