Yes, people should go buy some of ZMF's headphones, they're beautiful and apparently sound quite nice.

I need removable cables and replaceable earpads on all my cans, which rules out many (all?) of the Fostex-based mods.

I want the Oppo PM-3, but at $400, I can't justify paying double for them than what the Momentum 2.0 or NAD Viso HP50 would cost me. (I get special pricing through Citi's Easy Deals program.)

 
Thanks for the heads up on the Citi program - hadn't heard about it so checked it out and the pricing is quite nice - better than the Buysonic mystery bag on the HD800 if you have the points (turns out I have thousand of them I didn't even know about).
