The Deals DISCUSSION Thread (READ THE FIRST POST!!!)

They had at least 30 pairs when I posted.  I hope someone here got some.

I made the mistake of reading about the bluetooth module option and although the screen still posted the good price you listed (79.99), once I added it to the cart it shot up to $369.  That's what I get for reading...LOL.

That Monster HD deal flew off the shelves.  Missed it...

You didn't need another pair of speakers anyways, though.  They're already obsolete anyways, as they use the 30 pin connector.  You're lucky you didn't get the chance to buy them.

I'm lucky I didn't wind up buying them, was sorely tempted at the price, did the review reading routine as well. Have more than enough iPod docks, speakers, Boom boxes (really like the Peachtree DeepBlue2, btw, but that's much more moolah). Saved by the procrastination!

LOL...you may be right.  I was going to get them for my older son and he likely would have drove me crazy with them.  I was thinking either input via the 3.5mm minijack or with a bluetooth adapter.

Not headphones but, Thonet & Vander VERTRAG powered bookshelf speakers on Newegg (sold by Thonet & Vander) for $49.99
Seems like a good powered speaker for the price from the limited impressions I've read/watched.
Got one just for the sake of having speakers.
Ends 9/12.

Om Audio Innearpeace Hybrid Earphones $40 shipped after Coupon: MBL150910C   Coupon probably only works if you receive New Egg promos.  Amz sells them for $70.

Woot sold for $38 plus $5 ship a few weeks ago and I bought them.

They are very nice. 2 way balanced armature top, dynamic driver bass.  Look to be well constructed, heavy ceramic like plastic housing. Lots of silicone tips.

Extremely comfortable.  Very efficient, no amp required for sure.

Sound is well balanced, very detailed, good bass, detailed smooth mids,...a bit of tizz at the top end that I hope will be reduced with time or different tips.  I am using Sony hybrid tips which I think reduce the brightness a bit.

Doubtful. Did you notice how few reviews there are for these on Newegg and Amazon? Also note that they have been listed on Amazon since November 2013. Been around that long and so few reviews?

  AKG K553 PRO for $124:  http://www.guitarcenter.com/AKG/K553-PRO-Closed-Back-Studio-Headphones.gc

./.

Good price, nice to not have to wait for Massdrop.  Also $125 at B&H if you prefer.

Amazon Warehouse Deals has what I think is all time low pricing on the K551 variant used - $73 to $78 depending on condition.

I have owned the 550s and 551s (not 553) and I prefer the 551 due the shorter cord and mic.

AKG put a ridiculously thick plug on the 551 which prevents it from fitting most phones in cases.  This solves it (if you do not need a mic). and it looks like it was made for the 551 plug.

Not a headphone deal but music direct has musical fidelity m1pwr - mono/stereo power amp for $ 499. Or a pair for $ 799.
http://www.musicdirect.com/search.aspx?searchterm=m1pwr

These are great amps for a desktop gear IMO. Built like a tank and a very good performance for this price.

And also a Summer clearance, including some headphones / headphone stuff

You have to do it from their mobile amp.

I'm really curious about trying a balanced armature, so this should be interesting.  Thx
