The Deals DISCUSSION Thread (READ THE FIRST POST!!!)

You just have to wait, I think the first wave of sales was to clear overhead stock when the new models were going to be unveiled. Then they unveiled the new models and everyone realised they were a joke of a replacement (not really but not the same design). I suspect to see those prices again actual replacements will need to be announced or the hd800 successor to havea release date.
I've been searching every.single.day since I posted a few pages back lol I'm starting to thing it's the conspiracy thing too

Has anyone seen a current deal on the HD-650? Seems all prices have gone back up to $499. Pretty sure it's a conspiracy against me.

Hmmm...Maybe you just need an Apogee Portable Dac/Amp to go with them!

Sennheiser HD650 Audiophile Dynamic Hi-Fi Stereo Headphone - Bundle With Apogee Electronics Groove portable USB DAC and headphone amp for $499.95 with Free Shipping

Here are a couple reviews of the Apogee (ESS Sabre based, 24 bit/192kHz, etc.) - a tad pricey, but apparently a solid unit.

Wait, I can finally sell the HD650's I bought on Black Friday and not take a massive loss?!?  Woo hoo!  It only took 9 months for the prices to restabilize!  lol

Now to decide if I actually want to get rid of them or not.  I just made a balanced cable for them and it really helps.

How often have you listened to them in the past 3 months?

I've listened to them more in the last 3 days than I have over the last 6 months.  Ironic that I couldn't sell them when I wanted to and now that I can, I'm not sure if I want to anymore.

I'd jump on this deal but I just bought a Cayin C5. Thanks for the lead though!
