Closed bassy cans, much different then the 800's. Also the X2 were going to use be used for console gaming but I decided against it so thats why I am returning them. Can only dedicate money to either the amp/dac or the closed bassy cans.

I suppose... Have you considered a discounted Mad Dog for a fraction of the price?

Snagged a pair yesterday as well but for 210 plus tax. So around 230 but they said like new. What was the condition on yours?

Very Good.  In my experience, there's not much difference.

I've purchased from B&H.  Great vendor.  Fast out the door and shipping gets product to you quickly without being too costly.  Competitive pricing..  Never had to return a product to them, but I expect they would stick to their policies which I bet will be fair.

HS

+1

And B&H Photo had a great reputation as a photography vendor that you could order from before there were online Internet sales. Been around a LONG time.

Livesoundwave has a 25% discount for Fathers Day until June 17 using discount code DAD2015.  I used it on LCD-X and got them for $1279 shipped.  There was some question in the Headfier discount thread if the discount code would apply to Audeze but it was accepted at checkout and I have a confirmation email.

I bought the X1 but the clamping force was giving me a headache. I went with the HD598 instead and it was night and day in terms of comfort.

Back to deals: Sennheiser IE80 (Used, very good and excellent) - From $207 - $220.

I must say you have a big head lol. That tends to be the problem with the X1 and bigger heads, which X2 fixed. I didnt have a clamping problem but the weight was an issue at first. After the first month, I build neck muscles and didnt feel them  as heavy as before :p

Everything works with the 25% code - even the AK120II and the Angie - methinks someone will cancel invoices once they figure out they are selling below cost.

On another note - Full Compass is selling remaining stock of new Westone UM3X-RC for $249 shipped...

Pretty sure they are authorized.

No need to worry. The profit margins are large enough to handle much more than a lowly 25% discount =P Just dealer agreements and minimum resale price restrictions by companies that keep the pricing where it is. Quite common in this industry.

If you already pay for the item & they already processed the order, they aren't technically allowed to cancel your order unless they have an inaccuracy disclosure. called bait & switch pricing which is technically illegal. though I guess that is probably what the black star is for (restrictions to the coupon & them being able to cancel your order).

Definitely this. If you think 25% would be below their invoice, you'd be shocked at the profit margins on this stuff. What's keeping them from selling at lower price points is agreements not to sell it at a lower price.

....

Not on everything.  It didn't work on a Grado I had in my cart.  All it did was take $5 off.
