Funny I recently hooked a portable amp up to my Dualshock 4 along with the HD 650. My wife looked at me funny with an amp sitting in my lap and me covered in cables and adapters. Not very practical but it was pretty sweet.

actually, when i include the tax...it all comes out to 140 dollars, which is 4 dollars cheaper than the previous lowest price...
 
so all this to save me 5 bucks?
 
hmmm ill pass and let someone get this promo. Its worth it of course but I already spent so much money that another headphone at the 140 range will make me eat cup o noodles for a  month. I love my food, not going on a hunger strike for a pair of headphones lol.

I cancelled my HD598 for this, was looking for a drop on 770/990 and both are at almost same price now, went ahead with 990 for its open back & V-centric sound. Also got a FiiO X3+E17, hopefully it can drive 990 well, for what I've read these 250 Ohm 990's are power hungry beasts. Can't wait

 
 
PS: First time doing rebates, do I have to mail a filled form to their address or a e-mail is enough? I'm assuming it'll be refunded back to the same mode of payment or as a Amazon GC?

The "33.46" shows up for me when I go through the checkout process, after selecting the shipping address. I needed to go pretty far in to see it.

ahh I see, Thanks. It sounds like a good deal. I don't have any experience so I was wondering if the Headphone itself is good. Is comparable to AKG Q701? or what  open back headphone is a competition to this one. Its in the price range of HD558/HD598. I was pretty sad when I miss the $99 deal on the HD598.

The E17 does alright with my DT 880, so I would imagine it would do fine with the DT 990. I have no experience with the X3 though.
