How much were they going for? I totally forgot about the deal since I was at work during the time it went on sale

$140 for the athm5px + carrying case. slappo carrying case listed for $30, so equivalent to the lowest athm50x price ive seen of $112

Thats quite a deal, especially with the case.

more than likely though...Black friday comes, and it will surely be at 99.99 just like the regular m50 was last year.

Not everyone need a case for it anyways but for the ones that do and go one in the morning...good deal.

I hoope i have enough money for this BF :frowning2: lol

no, on black friday 2013, headroom and razordogaudio was offerin the he400 for $300

But the older version ever since then is still going for 300, since the new version is out and is going for 400.

Thats how it has been for quite a bit now. I personally think the old version is still a deal although comfort wise may be a hit or miss for everyone.

One of the companies were blowing them out for $699 in limited quantity couple of months ago in mint condition aka open box aka picture models aka they were really new but couldn't label them new for the price. Ok so that last part I made up but you never know...
Don't do this to me hifiman!!! But, please do, make me buy the he6!!!

the permanent price drop happened early 2014 after the new models were announced. so a few months in between the first black friday sale price and the new permanent price drop.

from my experience with the way the headphone pricing works, you can easily get to $100-$200 off any pair of $300+ headphones if you are patient. You just need to follow group buy sites, flash sale sites, amazon via camelcamelcamel, razordogaudio, headroom, and this deals thread! I don't think I have ever paid full retail price for any of my headphones.

Last year both Noble and Heir had 20% off, I know for sure because I was considering between Noble 5 and Heir 5

Ah thanks. So I guess maybe the K10 then...

What if they both go for sale, at the same 20% off?

Sometimes they bundle it with an AK100/120/240 player for a bit more, but that wasn't during black friday

If they're both 20% off then I might buy both?

They didn't announce the new models until 2014 iirc. Which right around the same time they dropped to BF prices permanently. I expect the he500 to be on sale this year, possibly even the he6!

$500 for the 500 would be nice.
