The Deals DISCUSSION Thread (READ THE FIRST POST!!!)

It was pure luck I noticed that there was one HD600 in stock at sonicelectronix.com and I had a 25% discount code. For weeks, it was out of stock. And I did see the deal at buysonic, but I was at work and paying for the order had to wait. When I came back to the site to complete the payment later that evening, they were sold put. But I had my hopes up.

So you got it for $240 new?!

Yes... it's called 'Try with your own ears graph'

Ya... But the 'Try with your own ears graph' covers all of the graphs ever made on headphones ever

Any confirmation on those headphones? And by the way, do the controls work for android phones as well? Im usually concernes about those things

Ended up canceling my order.  Although the pictures and description referenced the larger over-ear model, the customer service rep said I would be receiving the smaller on-ear model.  Probably not intentionally deceptive, but not really happy about it.

Doh! I was bummed to miss the BuySonic sale on the HD600; I didn't know the main store was selling it too for $299. Out of stock now.

There's a great deal out there on the TH900 with a couple days left (against the rules to reference where so I'm not going there) and I'm fairly confident I need a closed can given I listen when the wife's watching the TV.  I'm curious about the HD600's and HD650's though (how much ambient I'll hear and how much of my music she would hear) and whether I could manage an open can in my listening environment.  There's been some great deals on the HD's on here lately...  I'm thinking I better stick to the closed can.

The annoying thing about that offer to me was the description said they were circumaural

Yeah, I'd pass. It was nice to have noise canceling for flying but I don't fly too often. The sound quality didn't impress me, although for $40 it's not bad. There's nothing wrong with it, it's just middling. If you have higher end stuff I wouldn't worry about it.

EDIT: This is about the UE6000 in reply to Kitters
