Tomorrow at 1PM EST there will be a lighting sale on the M-Audio AV 40 at Amazon.

Do we know the anticipated price yet? These any good?

Amazon has a used pair of HD650's described as Like New for $336+shipping. The seller has only a few ratings, but just in case someone wants to take the risk:

I took the risk too. I have been looking for a portable amp for a while now and at that price I can't resist. What a deal.

Thank for the heads up! I bought it.

I don't know, but they're also selling new units for $59 like other sellers.
It's best to research it first. Thanks for the heads up.

Edit:
All I found was this, http://www.head-fi.org/t/616893/black-list-of-unauthorized-retailer-in-us-amazon-updated-on-20-07-2012 someone asked about World Class inc. in the 3rd page but James didn't respond and they don't seem to be blacklisted and they've been selling FiiO product for a while now so I'm gonna take a risk. It's only $22 and Amazon is real good about these kind of things so I'm not too worried.

I received mine yesterday . Looked new with all the accessories.  Wouldn't turn on so charged it all night.  NOTHING!  It wouldn't take charge at all.  I was planning to use it on my work computer anyway so I might just stick with it.

You should contact them, they might just give you a full or partial refund and/or tell you to keep it, or maybe not, but it's worth a try. If mine arrive in the same condition I'm gonna return it.

I wonder if that's why it was "Used - Good" instead of "Used - Like New."  Keep us posted on how they respond.  Mine's supposed to be delivered today so we'll see if it's the same deal.

I'm planning on using mine for work, too, so if it only works plugged in I may stick with it as well.  Assuming mine will work . . .

The deal brought them down to $109.00

Available right now.

Should be able to connect these to preamp outs, yeah?

Yes, that will work. That's what I do with my powered monitors. On my NFB 11.32 I have it set to variable output on low gain and I can use the volume pot to adjust the volume. It works really nice.

Will check out reviews, but I may finally try and replace my Monsoon MM-700 desktop system that, oh, 16 years old?
