Don't think anyone responded to the question about how to tell if the FiiO e7 was fake, and if it's still there I'd like to order it but can't waste money

I think you can PM James (http://www.head-fi.org/u/148324/JamesFiiO) for help

I believe there's also a guide either here on Head-Fi or on Fiio's site on that, but their site seems to be having issues for me, and I don't recall where the guide was on here.

Usually on most Fiio products, their boxes have a sticker on them, which you have to scratch to reveal some alpha numeric characters. Upon entering these characters on Fiio website (there is text box on the website home page which says "Check Authenticity of your product"), and hitting your enter key-it will reveal if the product is genuine or fake.

PS: Could not take the SS of Fiio website to show where to enter the characters since Fiio website seems to be down now.

I think Fiio employees might be on holiday break right now.

I wouldn't feel too bad about missing out, it was a very low price, and they appeared to have quantity (on a used item).  I'm guessing it's fake: from a previous reading of Fiio's website, it looks like their first line of countermeasure against fakes is a code on the box, which is likely to not included with the used product.  Fiio themselves have said they've seen counterfeit E7's.  I went ahead and ordered one too, but I'm not expecting much.  If it is fake, I want to make the effort to be sure the seller doesn't profit from ripping the legit businesses off, however.  I expect Amazon offers some kind of recourse in those situations.

Sorry to post without a deal: I'm participating in my own pet-peeve.

Earlier I decided to email World Class Inc about the E7 and they said they don't sell fake. This doesn't guarantee its not fake but at least now I feel better about my order.

Thanks.

This is what the price should be regularly. It's a very good stand, but the $25 they normally sell for is a rip off.

Regardless, I bought 2 of them for full retail in the past because I could not find anything similar. A very good out-of-the-way perch for the edge of your desk or nightstand.

Pretty good value IMO, probably equivalent of something in the range of $100(+/- $30), but you pay $50 for the Ferrari brand.

Edit: has price guarantee for 14days too.
