$350 is not a bad deal.  Some of you guys have short memories and got high on the rare outlet prices.  I'm laughing but please continue...

This is what I'm talking about.  Good discussion so we all know that it's a ****ty deal and why, rather than asking someone not to post.

It's clear that my tongue-in-cheek style of humor does not translate very well to Head-Fi in general. "Let's not post non-deals" was meant more as a joke than anything serious.

Many people would argue that the used price is irrelevant to whether the new price is a deal or not.  And $350 for a $500 is still a deal, even if it's not the BEST deal.

If you'd like to comment about how you think it's a poor deal, that's fine... encouraged even!  But we shouldn't be telling people not to post simply because we believe that it's not a good enough deal.  That's a great way to kill the thread off completely.

Agreed, would rather have the information than not...allows me to determine the value of a deal myself

It seems like it would be useful to have a separate thread, maybe even just a topic that is maintained by someone with general prices
* Standard price
* Good price
* Steal

This would help people in general figure out prices when they see them.

It wouldn't have to cover all headphones, but it could cover some of them.  (Maybe I should create one.)

  a used price guide would be good too

There's a reason it no longer shows the price of a sale on the classifieds after the item is sold...

+3 this is a good tip.  Personally, I like when it's not visible, but that's only because I like getting good deals.  But that doesn't mean I won't take advantage of this now that I know it's there!

My Moto X promotion code is expiring in two days and I'm not going to use it.  If anyone wants it, shoot me a PM.  I'm not asking for any money for it, but I wouldn't turn it down.  :wink:

To be clear, it's $140 off a new off-contract Moto X (2014) phone from Motorola.  It's a pretty good deal, but I'm not prepared to buy a new phone right now thanks, in large part, to this thread.  :confused_face:   lol

Save $140 on a no-contract Moto X, buy a Moto X for a penny with Verizon, plus get 30% off all accessories with your new phone. Enter the code at checkout to take advantage of Cyber Monday savings.

Hey, if you haven't given it away yet, I'll take you up on it.

My GF is leaving her job. Will have to return her work phone, so is looking for a replacement.

I'll PM you.

Thanks for the generous offer!
