HiFiMan HE-560 V4 is on sale again on Adorama for $269.
Actually, have these ever not been on sale?

I know if you go straight to Adorama's website and search they'll pop up for $899. But if you click on any of the links folks have posted here, you'll get the sale price.

I'd love to grab a pair myself, but the shipping to Canada is somewhere between ludicrous and obscene. By the time I add exchange rate and brokerage fees it's like ~$100CAD. Just for the shipping. Jeez-m-cripes, it only cost me ~$20 to sent my 400i back to NY for warranty.
<end rant>

No, that's a valid point! And yes they actually stopped being on sale for a minute (maybe literally lol) as the other day when I checked the email promo link even, it showed them at full price. On a somewhat related note perhaps, I see these listed used for around $800 occasionally, and my internal price 👮 starts twitching and my instincts tell me to go for that submit button once I type up a comment at which point I remember my late mother's advice that I should shut up if I don't have anything nice to say--which I don't so I don't submit... Sometimes.....

So... long story short, I went ahead and ordered a pair. Not much to lose. Adorama has an excellent return policy for which I'm grateful even though in all my years of shopping there, I've only returned something once.

My guess is the $269 for the 560 v4 is a semi-permanent price due to the tough comps... Some indicate the 400i give them a run and thus create a barrier to going too much higher in price, and the Sundara, which are also beloved by many, are above them by a bit in price and effectively establish another hard comp. With those two in the HifiMan portfolio it would be hard for the permanent price of the 560 v4 to be much higher.

I actually picked up the 560 v4 from Adorama for Black Friday at the $269 price. I have chosen them to be my designated Christmas present, and have been patiently waiting before opening the box and comparing them to my Sundara. I am hoping this is a good addition to the family...

I would recommend anyone considering this review the he5xx thread. It seems to me that it is a good headphone and value for the price, but doesnt seem to have much in common with the original he-500. I don't want to open this particular ball of worms on this thread, so recommend going there.

Looks like the $100 discount for the Plenue R is no longer available.
