like a lot of headphones, it depends on what you want them for. These are great at instrumental music, and extremely comfortable. For 300, I find them fantastic. I had a chance to demo them and the z1r at the source av, and really appreciated the Sony house sound. Ymmv.

But since the sale is over, it’s a moot point, right?

It's not exactly 'accurate' nor a totally balanced signature and struggles w/ certain recording styles/genre, but as far as the recent "warm and dark-ish headphone deals" go, z7mk2 much better than the AQ stuff that is on sale lately IMO, if not as easy to recommend as a PortaPro. I own a mk1 (mk2 seemed slightly better@ in-store demo) and it's a really nice can for relaxing after a long work day.

oops, didn't realize deal was gone...

Yours most likely has better components. How else can Drop sell it so cheap? Well other than they probably build it in China.

One major difference between this 50% Boxing Day discount and the 50% Black Friday discount is that the BF discount was on very select products (I think basically their slow moving/turd sellers). This 50% Boxing Day code, however, seems to be good on everything.

Not everything. Just tried to grab an mw07 plus and code didn't work...
