I've never seen a fake E7 so I wouldn't know. You can pm JamesFiiO, he should be able to give you more info.

My vFree headphones showed up on Friday.   Didn't really have a chance to mess with them until yesterday but I have to say I am pleasantly surprised at their sound quality.   Obviously nothing to write home about but honestly using a half way decent equalizer they are more than listenable.   Perfect for my teenage son actually who doesn't mind the somewhat excessive bass anyway.   My only problem is I cant seem to pair them to my Nexus 7.   Probably due to Bluetooth issues I have heard Android and Kit Kat are experiencing.   No problems pairing to a couple of different iPhones.   Thanks much to the original poster for the heads up and Velodyne for the offer.

And don't forget, after they are released, there is the obligatory defect discussion, wait for Chinese New Year, then return/replacement period, comparison between version 1 and version 2, then discovery that version 2 has a frequency response anomaly, then the wait for version 3, then the discussions about "if I order from so and so, how do I know which version I'll get?"

Probably best to give HiFiMan a year or two to get the new models right.

I just bought Amperiors, UE6000s, and have Momentums on the way, but I'm also selling my PB2 really soon... If it sells I fear I won't have any control over myself and purchase these.
 
If I do, I'll try and write up a review/comparison between all the headphones I have (Senn HD600, Senn Amperior, Senn Momentums, Logitech UE6000, HiFi HE-400, JH5, JH11) for a bit of a read maybe, if anyone wants.

Just to clarify, the 25BONES coupon code is for regular priced items, and the HiFiMAN items are on sale for $299 and $599 respectively so they don't qualify for further discounting. Sorry! Still a great opportunity.
