The Continuation Of The Sony Walkman 1Z/1A Thread!

Either one is okay. At home, I use the iPhone 1A to do overnight charge. For travelling, I just take the 2.4A adapter.
Can I charge 1A with 5V-2.4A adapter or need a 5V-1A adapter?

I have the Sony software installed in one of my computers. Sometimes I use it to transfer files. Sometimes I just copy them using Windows. I wouldn't say it's a great piece of software, but it isn't bad either. For some albums, the function to complete metadata works just fine. However, sometimes it messes up albums and songs. With a few tweaks it could work great. But, yes, just copying the files works fine (for me).

I had the Sony Connect software working great on my Intel MacBook Pro, but since I got a new M1 Mac Mini I had not installed it to try using. Yesterday I did download it and try using it for the first time and it does not recognize that the WM1Z is connected - it just says “Connect device” … BUT I am able to access the WM1Z through the Mac Finder and add files and folders through the finder. I wonder if the Sony Connect software simply is no longer compatible with the M1/Silicone Apple chips. I have some other programs that I have to force to open in Rosetta because there are no Silicone-compatible versions yet.

Is anyone using the Sony Connect software on a Silicone-based Mac?

There is no such thing as Sony Connect for Mac. The Content Transfer for Mac 1.8 should work.

I find using the Finder easier and quicker.

Yeah, I see no reason to use anything other than Finder on macOS. YMMV. I also use CleanMyDrive app to remove macOS metadata from the microSD card after I've transferred music to to it, not to add any complication to the original question.

So nobody install those sonny software on their computers?
I do. I use the Music Center for the 12 Tone Analysis (which is not available for Mac) PC and Content Transfer to transfer music from the Mac which is my main computer

Sorry yes the Sony Content Transfer program. Mine just says "Please connect the device" when I already have the WM1Z plugged in. This was the current version I assume since I just downloaded it from their site yesterday. No matter, the Finder option works great.

I’ve been playing around with cases and I think I found my solution. I got a pelican G 40 case and it seemed to fit best of the options. But it was still a little too big so the DAP and IEMs moved around a bit. So I am working on 3D printing a solution for it. This is my second revision. I’ve got a couple ideas to make it even better for the next iteration.
So I used this design by @torifile (thanks for sharing the STL, by the way), and I modified it to suit my particular needs. The idea of putting everything into a Pelican G40 worked great. I just had to think a lot about how to put everything in there. I could put the lighting cable and the WMP-NWM10 with some success.

Luckily I have found a store in my country had the last one of this adapter with price $10. I have tested charging and usb DAC with my laptop, now I will find a lightning to micro usb cable :)

Another quick question about breaking in IEMs with the 1Z… I have figured on leaving it plugged in for several days and just playing tracks on repeat. However, will this impact the battery life of the 1Z? Is it better in the long run to charge and then run down by playing and then charge again?

I just left mine plugged in while doing the burn in of the player. Headphones I've always burned in via my home amp

I have tested some DIY cables (lightning-wmport) in my country but it did not work
