They for sure will. The prices vary almost daily.
Its so true, I got the Red Ag 4n Pure Silver for $11.29 and my StarDream's were $25.27. When yours comes you will think it's for full size cans

I've fixed my Fostex HP-V1 and have been listening today. I forgot how awesome HP-V1 is. So lush and enjoyable. Listening with my IMR Elysiums.

Congrats on the fix. I've never heard a Fostex amp, portable or desktop. Do their amps follow the same ideology of their headphones warmth with detail?

Yes and Yes. Really brings out the best in my IEMs. For a tube amp, really clean and clear, but still warm. It slams too, down to 20hz.

I had hpa8 for years with th900 then la900. fostex amp can reach real low as its sub bass shines. But i learnt that good amp are better and the best amps still better. No one i see yet, other than convenience, has proprietary greatness with their HP. ie hdv from senn, same. good but....

I agree. You do have those TOTL amps that are unbeatable. People try to say that the less expensive amps are as good, but I don't think so. That goes both ways. I've heard supposed TOTL kit that sounds like crap. The Fostex HP-V1 is a TOTL portable amp and it shows. I think it's the best portable amp out there. I've tried most of the portable amps too.

aww, you all have me wanting to buy cables now. @OldDude04 -double enablement unlocked. I have some of the ISN and would be interested in the gray one.

It's worth it imo. I'm loving it, and when I see the price near what I paid for mine, I'm going to snag one or two more for some of my other IEMs.

That's disappointing, figured it would have been higher. Still, at that price and with those sweet tubes, might still be a good deal. Like I said before, if I didn't already own the N3Pro, I might've jumped for this. The FiiO M23 is a bit more in cash but boasts 1000mW.

I'm looking at all of the other DAPs and they seem to be in the same power range as the N3. That includes the TOTL DAPs too. I might just snag it. I won't be using my planars with it, mostly my IEMs.

Well, they finally released the specs on the Cayin N3 Ultra. Only 600 mW max output. I was hoping for more power output but nada.

What to do now?

Yeah, that is disappointing, as my Oracle MkII's require a good bit of juice. Right now I'm pretty satisfied with the Hiby R5 Saber and FiiO M11 combo, but if were to get a new DAP I'd probably go with the M23.

I really really want the dual tube output stage. I could get the M23 and use my HP-V1, but then I have a dual stack. I wanted to have one sleek piece of kit that I could put in my pocket.

🤔🧐
