Who else misses the anticipation and rush when the needle hit the vinyl with a clunk and the satisfaction generated by the the arm returning at the end of playing?

My replacement Monolith THX 887 amp came in today finally, I'm super excited to get it hooked back up and jam out. It was out of the box for 5 to 10 minutes and I had to fix what I consider the amp's only flaw. You can't see the notches that let you know what the gain is set at and what the current volume level is. So a bit of White-out and Goo Gone later and boom, the amp is perfect, lol.

Non puoi lamentarti, vero?

I'm enjoying the hell out of this night so far, lol. I've got my M1060C out with the new Hart Audio cable/4pin XLR combo being fed by the Emotiva Stealth DAC to the 887 amp. There is a special synergy imo with the Emotiva and the 887. I've always thought the Emotiva DACs were underrated, loved my XDA-2 and I really love the Stealth DC-1.

Hope all you fellow Loungers are enjoying your gear and keeping sane, lol. :beerchug:

Well I've been a busy little Audiophile bee. I almost have all of my old gear sold and I'm adding pieces to my new collection daily. I picked up a pair of IMR Rahs and another portable amp/ DAC called the earmen TR-amp. George did a video on it last month. It reminded me a lot of the iDSD BL but with better specs and at half the price. It should be arriving this week. I'm guessing with it's low price and high end specs some of you may be interested. I'll do a mini review when I get it.

That amp looks awesome, love the red anodized look and the iFi like profile. Congrats on the Rahs as well! I've read they are the best he's put out.

I not trying to be the guy to kill any joy from the new purchase, but I am slightly confused on this one though. You said better specs than the iDSD BL. The EarmenTR has 400mW (0.4W) into 16Ω, and the iDSD BL has 4000mW (4W) into 16Ω, 10x more. The Earmen does PCM up to 384kHz and up to DSD256, while the iDSD does PCM up to 768 and up to DSD512. The Earmen is much more similar to the iFi Nano iDSD BL, but the Nano is $50 cheaper.

The specs have been changed a bit from the ones on their site. For some reason they haven't updated it on their site. The big thing is the current output is huge, which allows it to drive the Hifiman HE-6SE without a problem. Also DSD512 is supported in Native mode. I'm getting it to test and we will see how it fares.

That's cool, sounds like it would be a good piece of kit set in between the iFi Nano and Micro. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
