My first DAP was a fiio X5. That would be unfortunate if they left the higher end market. Fortunately we have so many other manufacturers to choose from now.

I have owned X3, x5ii, E12a, X7 and now own X7ii... seen them grow and most (not all) products I have bought from them I have been happy with.

I know right. I owned the X5ii and almost purchased the X7ii. But someone turned me on to the iBasso DX200 and I bought it instead. Still need to give the X7ii a proper listen.

Well if you come over for canjam and beach meet then you can try mine ...I have heard dx200 briefly but not enough to choose one over the other , I too had a choice of either but from reviews of not night and day differences i went for X7II because 2 card slots was important to me.

2 slots are a must for me, but it seems most DAPs nowadays only have one (correct me if I am wrong)... a pity for the day I need to change my X7ii, hopefully not in short term!

Agreed! ..my last few daps all have 2 slots ...opus1 and X7ii , I'm hoping that maybe the new ibasso dx220 or whichever they are going to call it maybe will have 2 slots or am I wishful thinking ??? But as you say X7ii is still a great dap so no rush.

With the 1TB microsd cards coming out I don't think it's going to be an issue anymore. Plus with the DX200 you can use a OTG SSD and then your space is limitless.

Yeah it's not such an issue if or when 1tb cards come and X7ii does solid state drive otg also but at the moment 2 slots is still a big seller for me.

I gotcha. Yeah especially when you are using smaller SD Cards. The 512 GB and 1 TB SD cards are in spades more expensive than a 400 GB or 256 GB card.

Indeed.. I have a 400gb and a 256gb at the moment and a little room to spare but i do buy a lot of CDs on occasion and it can easily change quickly.

We should be seeing the 1 TB cards really soon from Lexar. The cost is going to be astronomical when it first comes out though.

No doubt ... possibly dearer or close to the cost of an X7II anyway

Yeah looks good , I'm not a streamer at all so my knowledge is limited as in audio quality? I always have stuck with files on a card as I know that I'm going to get the best I can in this way but I would like to try something like this.
