I've done pretty well so far, not buying anything. I am currently saving up for the new Cayin N5ii and the CA Andromeda.Won't have funds ready until something near June. I am really trying not to purchase anything until then. Must fight all temptation...damn, it is getting really difficult. So many new things...

I've been listening to the IMR R1's for about 3 hours straight. Here are my initial impressions. The R1's are damn good looking and the packaging has a premium feel. But hearing them is the real treat here folks. This is a noticeable departure from "the past" and with them turned to open with the black or blue filters they sound almost like over ear planars. I'm going to put these through their paces over the next week or so before I say anything concrete, but color me impressed so far. I'll post some pics below.

That's a mighty fine-looking package. Still not the biggest fan of that sort of shiny finish and the 2-pin connector orientation feels weird (just because everyone else does it the other way), but neither of those are dealbreakers in any way. And it's got torx screws! Everyone knows torx screws only up the cool factor
