thanks guys, I guess I'll dip my toes back into this hobby with the mad dogs then.

When I have a better amp in the future I'll take a look at the LCD2s again

I was going to recommend waiting on the he560 due to its low weight and quality surpassing the he500 assumably. The alphas improve a fair bit on the mad dog and are more comfortable than he500 and lcd2.

Yeah, I think there is enough evidence here to prove that we're all nut jobs...

However, I recommend speakers for this - not the LCD2s...speakers that sound like the LCD2.

I cringed in pain throughout that Teeth movie when I saw it on release while ago. 
 
But on the other hand I'd take vagina over headphones/speakers anyday of the week, assuming there is some sort of treatment to prevent resonance, then yeah.

Hey guys I just tested the Burson Soloist SL today and quite like the sound signature of it with the Audeze LCD -2. What other SS amps would you recommend me ? I have decided to stay as off tubes as it may not be the best pairing with the LCD -2 and also would not pair well with the type of music I listen too.
