Thank you for the answers!!

Burtomr, I thought about it, but I think i prefer to invest in an additional amp that I could use with aother DAP in the future.

Bflat, I´m sure the RSA SR-71B amp is a great option! But, does it produce some hiss with the Shure 846?

Warrior1975, does the Cayin C5 produce some hiss with the Shure 846?

Thank you very much again and sorry for my english......lol

I had the SR-71B running full balanced with the AK240, I was using the UM Mentor, I didn't hear any hiss.

@gusGGG-unfortunately I can not answer that, I sold my se846 prior to owning the C5.

Why did you sell your 846s? They're supposed to be fantastic and I've considered them but I'm not fond of the idea of wrapping the cable around my ears, hence, I bought fx1100s.

I loved them, but I get tired of things quickly. Plus I bought the T10, which were a good enough replacement for me. I really love those IEMS. The Shure were basically my gym IEMS, the t10 replaced them.

No hiss at all on RSA. However, for SE846, I highly recommend you go balanced and white filters. SE out on RSA for SE-846 creates too much boomy bass for my tastes. Balance tightens that up significantly.

The bass is muddy and congested on the T10's. Not really a worthy handshake for the AK240.

The vocal became very seductive and sweet. The high is Airy effortless and overall dynamic and texture.
The original ak240 is dry and Sterile in comparison.

What are you talking about....
