  Glass screen protector for AK240 -- Anyone know of any?  Nothing shows up in a search in this thread.  I see there is a Ray-Out glass protector which, however, is shown as "production ended" on the site of the Japanese manufacturer, though per a post on 4/20/15 there are still some in stores in Japan.  
 
Also there is a brand called Healing Shield which, as far as I can tell from the somewhat ambiguous product description, is a higher quality plastic shield.

i tried the Healing Shield, the quality is quite decent for me...BUT i only used the sides mask protectors, for front and back on my AK240 i still used the original one...

Thanks very much.  In the absence of a real glass protector, I'll probably give the Healing Shield a try.  But I would still prefer a glass one if they exist.

12  hours of listening so far on 1.18 firmware and no issues to report. Red book, 24/96 ALAC, and a few DSD samples played.

Doubt it. It's just an inconsistent product with crappy QA, lousy manufacturer support, and poor industrial design. The lucky folks that get a "good copy" are, well, lucky. A flimsy 2.5mm trrs jack was never a good idea, even if it does occasionally work well for some folks.

Yea, that 2.5 mm jack is a strange one.  My heavier than stock Silver Dragon cable wouldn't fit the 2.5 mm plug so I have to settle for SE output on the 3.5 mm jack.

Yes, but only if you are willing to customize the AK240 Android OS. I've looked around the XDA Developers forums and no one has rooted and customized the AK version of Android. I highly doubt we will get a developer interested in this given the minuscule size of the user base compared to any Android phone. Best bet is just keep asking AK for better designs or ask AK to release their source code.

May i know what is the issue on your 2.5 socket? couldn't fit? make sure the jack is TRRS one...
 
i had an issue also with mine, had it replaced coz still under warranty, not everything seems fine.

I have heard that Moonaudio made their plugs thicker as an attempt to solve the reliability issue of the 2.5 trrs socket. In my opinion, it's not very good for the socket.
