as far as I know, now they're focusing on making a very expansive DAC system. I think it will come out very soon... maybe within a few months.

Well...in the world of hi fi any item/component can be stratospherically expensive.  Imagine a pair of $20k speaker cables or a $30k CD transport both produce no sound LOL.  At least the 480 (if it ever launch) can be a plug-and-play device.

I bet it won't be a 240ii. 
 
The 100/120 were so different to the 100ii/120ii in UI and set up so the ii represent a new generation.  
 
480 might make sense as it will distant from the 240 and add on whatever that could justify the price difference.
