please help, im about to cry
 
my ak120 just turned off and dont react to anything.
i charged the battery overnight so the battery cant be empty.
 
i just heard music on highest volume and from 1sec to another .. boom turned off.
yesterday i updated it to 1.42.. -,-
 
i didnt drop nor is there any way i damaged it. took care of it as it would be a raw egg.
no rain, no hot temperature in my area.

Tried a hard reset?
 
Hard resetting is used only when the unit is frozen and unresponsive. To properly hard reset, please press and hold the ON button and the Previous track button (top button on the left side of unit) at the same time for 7+ seconds before letting go of both buttons at the same time. The timing to let go is when the screen goes dark from a frozen screen/state

Sometimes it just happens. Not often. Maybe a tagging issue or a random glitch.

  Has anyone mamaged to get the USB Dac working on windows 7 or 8? I can install it fine and it shows in the list of devices, when I switch to it it seems to be fine and the test tones that windows plays seem to be working because the green volume bar moves - there is however, no sound at all! Any ideas?

I've finally got this working! Turns out I did have USB 3 ports on my laptop. To resolve the lack of sound, I went into the BIOS and turned off USB3 (xHCI) so it defaults back to 2.0. When I logged back into windows and attached the AK it went through the install process again and now it works!

Hi bro,
I bought used AK120.
and I tryed some modification.
 
1. Tantalum coupling capacitor changed to 100uF
2. Make mini circuit for WM8406 V Line, up to 3.3V(Low noise clean volt)
3. Change TCXO crystal clock 2.5ppm
4. Add 1000uF low ESR capacitor to battery(manipulate battery case)
5. Add 2.5mm barance out phonejack (change 3.5mm optical in jack)
 
Do you have know something else to more modification method ?

Yes it is.  However there is another aluminum bumper option in red or black for $100.
