It is a Ti Case, increased memory and a black leather case. As far as I am aware those are the only changes so SQ should be the same, can't see an increase in memory making a difference!

Ian, I am hoping the same. If that's the case it would mean a very expensive extra storage for me. Personal opinion only.

Yeah, same for me, with 64 on board and two 32G cards and the player being so easy to load and delete music I have no need for massive memory. Likewise the Ti case, mine is never out of the leather case so I never see it!
I do think I will get a black case soon though. I rather like it all black!

I got lucky with a black case. A friend gave me his in exchange for a blue case I won as a prize. Have not used the black one yet. Currently wearing down the stock brown one and will change after that.

B&H says that it also includes the docking station. So the extra memory is essentially free. I would have chosen this edition if it we're available when I bought mine. I'm out of room with 2x 128GB SD cards taped to the back of mine.

Ah so it has the docking station as well. Seeing as the docking station cannot be used with the leather case on I feel it is useless. Honestly with such a great case which fits really well who wants to take the player out of the case every time they want to use the dock, now if the dock could be used with the case that is a horse of a different colour!

To me it seems that the new model (AK140 or whatever) is not ready to be rolled off the blocks. Hence for the interim and in time for xmas comes this release.

Is that when the AK140 will be introduced? I'm thinking on an upgrade to my current DAP and was thinking on the AK120 but if the the 140 is right around the corner I'll hold off a bit.
