On FLAC 16/44, vol 50, EQ off, LCD off, normally I can get about 10-11 albums.
But I never listened non-stop.

Since the 14 hours claim is based on FLAC, 16-bit, 44kHz, Volume 37, EQ Off, and LCD Off, you can try this and see if you can duplicate the result.  However, realistically I think are numbers is about right.

My AK120 powered off due to depleted battery. I'm am using it with the StepDance with the volume around 65. So based on your criteria then I'm guessing my playing is about right.
Thanks!

Thanks, DrSheep. I appreciate the info. Does the higher current impact the overall life of the battery at all?

In fact, if you use ipad charger, it's not recommended to use higher than 5V 1A output standard, otherwise it MAY damage the machine.

There is a guy in China who experiencing this issue and here is his conclude about the battery usage. Try read it if you understand Chinese. :)

NP, that's the official battery test from AK on the 14 hrs battery life, so I just paste it here for your reference and test.

I read it and I still have no idea why he thinks that way (grounding maybe?), but I did found something on LiPo charging circuit design that you may find interesting.  Also I stand by my original point as a within spec USB device will able to handle the current.  It might shorten the life of the battery, but no real harm to the device should come to it.

He thought that way because he feel electricity on the metal surface of AK120 when he's using the 5V 1A charger to charge his 120. But this issue never happen before while he use the 0.5A one to charge.

I agree with your point, It may damage the battery but won't do much harm on the device.

My point is that he should have never feel something like that in the first place even with an iPad charger at 2.1A, let alone 1A, so I think there is something else going on with his AK120.  If I have an iPad charger I will gladly test this out with mine, but I don't have one...

Anyone know that where the AK120 was made in? My friend bought his Ak120 from China and it says Made in China, but in my memories from some of the threads, the AK120 is made in Korea. Any idea about that? :)

Hmm, its a Korean company, I would be amazed if it were made anywhere other than Korea.

Someone told me before that the AK120 sets officially sold in China is Made in China while the other sets are Made in Korea.
I don't know how true is that since my set, bought from authorised retailer in Singapore, is Made in Korea
