How come I cannot play this on my TERA? Is it my SD card?
I'm using a Kingston 16 Gb Class 4 card. The card is confirm OK coz I can play other wav file on it in TERA.

Same deal with another SD card player, my SDTrans384 wasn't able to play some files that were purchased online

Then I saw this thread here and learned that could be fixed by a freeware called Wav File Checker

It's available for download below

Other files were extracted from DVD-Audio and Pure Audio Blu-ray discs, they worked fine under Windows but no such luck with Tera-Player and Colorfly C4 Pro for me. Maybe I'll have to give Wav File Checker a try and see how it goes.

No that's not fully true - why someone should upgrade from AK120 to 240 if he is happy with the features and SQ? It makes zero sense. It's all about new toy syndrome and want to have the latest. The same crazy happens with smartphones all the time, after a half year, "oh my god a new phone is out, I need a new one".

I'm enjoying music and maybe new IEM or headphones for different sounding, but to spent too much time in the source is not worth IMO, but everyone can decide by himself what is really important.
But one day I need to listen to the Tera Player for sure

well as the saying goes one man meat is another man's poison. i would say that though the mids of tera is definitely to die for, but the bass roll off for tera is quite bad if not paired with suitable iem. dynamic/hybrids pair with tera rather well in that sense.

hence just like why sometimes one own various iems, one could also own a variety of daps with equal love to each in order to bring out the best synergy/pairing with his iems/headphones.

and just a question to those who owe both a tera and lab1. hows the synergy between these two. i am still undecided whether to keep the lab1 or put it on sale.

I like my Lab1 with the Tera. Of course someone once complained about bass roll off. But I can't say I experienced that. Besides, different DAPs will sound different with different iems. I don't expect them to all sound the same...
If not, what's the point of having more than one...? But what do I know...? :)

Hi - I'm an early adopter of the Tera player and it's very much been my end-game player for the last two years or so.

I have been on an upgrade path on UIEMs though, and am enjoying the Tera / Dita (Truth edition) combination.  But, as ever, restless eyes and ears etc and I've been looking at the Tralucent Ref1 as the next step up.

My question is:-

Would the Ref1 (Too) represent a significant step up from the Dita, when in combination with the Tera?  if so, I'm really interested in thoughts of anyone with the good fortune to experience both.

Thanks all

Hi Jerome

I'm in a similar boat. I have Audeo PFE232s with the Tera but was thinking about the Ref1s

I've paired the Tera with a Ref1 and Uber cable.  Ref1 (with Uber) is not an ideal match for the Tera unamped; it becomes much more full bodied with an amp.

HiFlight Modded Koss Porta Pro is a match made in heaven for the Tera if you do not have a fetish for details and resolving power.  It is so much fun musically, you would have to be churlish to complain about the lack of leading edges in high frequency filigree.

Another good unamped pairing for the Tera is the Fitear Parterre with the Whiplash Audio TWag v3 TWcu v3 Hybrid.
