Thanks for being gracious. I will email Charles as he may have embedded other Tera Players with hidden capabilities and it'd be useful to know what they are.

No apologies needed. Though I don't understand why that would be so difficult to believe. If you are genuinely interested to know more, email Charles, he's the best person to explain it.

My view is Charles created a great product but IMO is known to be a bit of a character when it comes to the 'audiophile community'.

e.g.
quote: "polished aluminum, FUR-THER technology"

http://web.archive.org/web/20140310201629/http://www.tera-player.com/

quote: "The ULTRA-AWESOMENESS of the super-matte BLACK-HOLE-BLACK keypad is further enhanced by AUTOSOL hand-polished aluminum edges"

http://www.autosol.com/

And the current:
Field-Test-Units: Scratched, dropped and badly mistreated for years

I personally take all his responses/info with a pinch of salt - but that all from me on this subject - make your own minds up

I still think the product is great though.

I had normal one and the Stealth edition.
The later one is slick and is less prone to scratches, and the all black looks very high end, professional.
Well worth it.
But we don't need to worry as the Tera player is build to last a very long time and the battery inside also.
Take that AK series :)

I've heard that you have the Teras sold, true?

My Transcend 128gb class 10 card will have occasional skips or stops and I have to reseat the card to stop it. However my sandisk 128gb class 10 card doesn't have any issues.

It's anecdotal and it could be just bad luck with the Transcend, as I've had good luck in general with those in the past for data storage but I'll stick with sandisk for Tera use.

Thanks will go with -  sandisk 128gb class 10 - any particular tool needed to format it ? or byte size/allocation ?
