The C5 is a boss of a portable amplifier. I still have mine, love it, and don't plan on getting rid of mine anytime soon.

And yes, it drives the K7xx with power to spare and sounds fabulous. Then again, almost everything sounds great with the C5.

Also don't forget, there's now a C5 DAC from Cayin as well.

I agree, I also have the C5 and it's amazing. Use it with both K7XX and my X2. Matches up well with warm sounding headphones. I'll be keeping mine for a long time.

These observations seem to closely match mine.

Speaking of unmoded Q701's i have: Q701 would be better for competitive gaming. As for immersive gaming, they both equal but each one is better in different aspects - where K7XX can add great bass in to the scene, Q701 adds that openness, out of head feeling which can sound pretty cool in some games. Q701 overall is fairly cleaner but quite cold and harsh, and they are also harder to drive:
 Q701:
Volts RMS required to reach 90dB SPL: 0.318 Vrms
Impedance @ 1kHz: 60 Ohms
Power Needed for 90d BSPL 1.68 mW

K7XX
Volts RMS required to reach 90dB SPL: 0.206 Vrms
Impedance @ 1kHz: 66 Ohms
Power Needed for 90d BSPL 0.64 mW

Finally posted my review and comparison vs the DT 880 Pro.

I'm keeping both until I get my Stax, and even then I may keep the K7xx just for gaming.

  Hello!

What will be the best amp match for these headphones?, max $500. I was thinking, first in Vali, or maybe a Lyr 2 in case it really worths...

Gustard H10 is popular.  Most people recommend a slightly warm amp, so the H10 or Lyr 2 with the right tubes should be nice.  I'd personally go with the Lyr 2 just for the versatility... unless you only have a low end DAC, in which case I'd get a Parasound ZDac v.2 to function as both the DAC and amp.

Are you the headfier who has the Parasound ZDAC? If so, can you report on how well it drives speakers?

I don't have a ZDac yet, and I would hope more than one Head-Fier has one!  The ZDac does not have a speaker amplifier, and I'm not sure if the line out is actually a preamplifier either.

The Lyr2 will work quite will work quite well driving the K7XX but the Project Ember does better IMO.  Also tried a BH Crack and Asgard2, Crack is ok but the Ember is still much better, Asgard2 a little to bright for me.
