I don't think so.
Of course, if you are used to your Burson, maybe you don't like the Mojo.
But the Mojo is very good in general and will drive the K712 good.

Even my fulla drives them quite well.

I loved K712. Despite people saying K712 has less base I would say tight base and similar to HD800. K812 has more body to base.

Which one has more bass quantity? (K712 or HD800)

that's the first thing I tested with a spare cable.   I only wish that was the problem.

Thanks for replying.

Yea i was thinking about "inner cable" that goes through the headphones not the one that you can detach..

They finally arrived :)
A used pair of AKG K712s made in Austria.
Now i wonder if i should recable them for my balanced amp.
I'm probably going to do it.
I also own k701(balanced), k702, and k551, boy am I a fan of AKG sound

These k712s sound quite a bit different than all the other pairs i have, more different than i thought they would be.
Anyway, happy listening everyone!

I'd like to know this too since the 800s would likely be my next upgrade. I'm hoping that Massdrop has an 8XX deal in the offing ...

I have the HD800 and a very late K702 (sn.129.xxx)
Late K702 has more bass and overall fuller sound than HD800.
My very late K702 (sn.129.xxx) is considerably warmer than my previous (but still late sn.102.xxx) K702 which was more along the lines of the original K701.

I'll get my K712 next week, so I'll be able to compare them with late K702 and HD800.
It's said that late K712 is lighter in the bass and more analytical than it used to be.
I won't be able to compare my new K712 with an early one though.

I have a friend who owns a pair of HD800s and I got to listen to them on my setup for an extended period of time. The 6kHz spike was not as bad as I had read unless the quality of the recording was suspect. Anyway, they are on my watchlist, so I will be happy when you post your observations ...
