If it's anything like my Grados, then yes it should offer more bass. Just go slowly (1 at a time) otherwise it won't sound very good and it's tough to go back.

y is it tough to "go back".....
cant i just paste a sticker over the hole again>?
or is the white sticker a special perforated paper?

Thought I'd just ask here instead of making a new thread.

Can anyone compare the k550 to the beyerdynamic custom one pro?
I generally listen to my grados so I want as close to open sounding between the two.
The grados leak too much for me to use at work.

Well i bought the k550 and so far i am enjoying them.

Good sound, enough bass for me and i must say when the song calls for it they do shake on your head also it just has this lean, deep, full, spacious sound that is clean and clear and smooth.

Sometimes with the way it sounds it makes me jump sometimes exactly as being spooked, no other can of mine has done that before (dt 48, dt 150, dr 770, dt 880, dt 990, k 701, q 701, k240 mk2, k242, hd 555, hd 650, t50rp, ath m 50, hd 25 ii, hfi 580, pro 900, ultrasone proline 2500).

Needs a good seal as you know, sounds like an open can, good isolation, easy to drive yea..

I dunno it just sounds beautiful can see why people praise them or love them.

Hello K550 owners. Would any of you say that this headphone blocks out noise well? I've been considering selling my AKG K240 headphones and getting these instead for the sake of isolation. Do they sound just as good?

Yup, these headphones isolate quite well IMO, which is quite amazing considering how relatively open sounding these are. Had the K240s at one time as well and as much as I love that headphone and recommend it often to friends who are looking to get into this hobby, K550 IMO sounds better in every way.

Can you order the K550, DT880 and HD650 in terms of personal sound preference, and then in terms of confort?
Thanks
