The public beta firmware of Android 5.1 for FiiO X7(FW3.0beta) is coming!

  @FiiO, can I make a small suggestion?
bigsmile_face.gif

Long track names in player scroll for full name, great - scrolling speed is fine too.

But... you should introduce a delay of about 3 to 5 seconds before scrolling (initially and after looping), its better to read - when track names are really long you don't notice the effect, but if i.e. track name is just 1 or 2 characters longer there is a weird "jump" effect that makes it harder to read.

My 2 cents

Hi, Paulo Abreu
Thank you for your kind feedback. We will consider to add this in the later firmware.

@FiiO Please consider in the next FW3.x revision:

- The problem I previously reported about playing single file albums separated with .cue file
- Scanning music (manual) on pure music mode doesn't work properly (only finds about 50 tracks on +1700)
- I don't know if its only me, I have good eyes but the color of captions under artists, albums etc, its TOO DARK - have reported it many times and its a 5 min fix, unless you have brightness at MAX, and even so, its too dark - a few more grey points please...

Best Regards

Hi, Paulo Abreu
Did you select 'Scan all' when scaning the music on pure music mode? And you are using the internal storage or an external TF card? What format is your card?

I'm currently trying to update my x7, and hold volume up for a while before connecting it to my windows 10 laptop. I have already disabled driver signature validation  btw.
It shows the Fiio starting up animation and the the batery charger display, about a second later after the display goes off, my laptop detects a USB device called Android.

I try to update it and it says that the newest version of the driver is already installed. No rockusb driver or anything like that. Can any one help me please ?

Hi, mowglycdb
What is your Android version and Kernel version of your X7?
Please try to uninstall the 'Android' and update the firmware again.

Android Version 4.4.4
Kernel Version: 3.0.36+ Sat Jul2 11:45:15 CST 2016
Build Number: FW 2.0

I can't install it on Windows 10, it will automaticly install as Android as soon as Windows detects the DAP. I can't take away those properties.

Edit: I can confirm that Windows 10 Home Single Language Edition won't let you stop your system from automaticly installing drivers. I'll have to try from another computer.

it should be possible to uninstall the driver while it is connected, and then you should be able to install the other one as well.

How do you install a Driver for a device that hasnt been detected? As soon as I uninstall, it's disconected from the system. Check for hardware changes and It happens again.

Another bug found:

Sometimes the music pause, and come back after some time, or not. It happens normally after closing the screen (after pressing the turn off the screen button).

Yes, scan all.
Both internal storage and external SD card
SD cards are exFat formated (2 cards)

In Android mode it works fine so what I do when I exchange cards is switch to Android mode, scan all and then switch back to pure music mode again.
Note: It was ok in FW2

Thanks for feedback!

I've found an annoyance:

On v2.0, i have reached the magical 5800 tracks (exactly 5800, too!) and now the timer doesn't seem to work anymore. both the bar nor the count down timer functions.

anybody else had this issue?

the music plays normally, but there is no way of telling how long the track has been playing for or when it will end.

And now, after another reboot (I had already rebooted once) it works again.

Thanks for replying though :)

I'll explain what happened:

Yesterday i ripped a CD with EAC, then used FREAC to convert WAV to FLAC, then added tags (year/artist/album/track number/disc number/track title/genre) with MP3tag.
Then added these files to my playlist (containing all tracks) and scanned the library.
Then when i selected the track i just ripped it would start playing, but give no visual indication of this. no matter what track i played (so not only from the newly ripped album) and after reboot the same issue occurred.
Now i rebooted again and it all works fine!

Try this, it worked for me.
