Just snapped up a new pair on the 'bay for £44. As its such a low price. Does anyone know if there are fakes of these IEMs?

New? D: I can't imagine they're selling them for such a low price when they are brand new. I think they're fakes honestly.

I can surely see a difference on the outside of the earpiece looking at the image listings. Does somebody know something?
I will also send an email to imation europe to ask about it.
 
 
I think there is no difference now that i looked to more pictures. I don't know why amazon is listing them as a new model

It looks like the $172 ones are not being sold by Amazon but a market retailer. That's why the discrepancy in price. The amazon stock was slowly dwindling over the last few weeks.

To me, the red star tips sound more detailed than the black ones. Furthermore they're more comfortable to my ears and isolate better. I can insert them much deeper.
The star tips have a more narrow inner opening than the TDK tips. Not sure if this could harm the sound quality...

These arrived today, just spent 40mins listening to them and comparing them with the SE215LTD and CKS77. I can confirm that they are genuine from the sound quality, they are several notches above the Shures and AT. I'm really impressed by these IEMs.
