i've used the popo triple flange and they seem to isolate better ( my right ear is weirdly shaped - leaks a lot of sound),,,sound quality, if anything, a bit better...but it makes my BA200 look weird.

Does anyone have a sony walkman that has heard the ba200 and sm3?
If so then can someone report how they compare when eq is set for the tdk ba200 (not sm3) to
clear bass level = +1 level
1kHz level = +1 level
2Khz level = +1 level
 
I wonder if the ba200 beats the sm3 in this setting.

How does BA200 compare with JVC HA-FXT90?  I'm torn between these two (may also consider IE800), my brain is gonna burst lol ...

I have both and ba200=ie800 (ie800 has slightly better treble with neutral midrange and ba200 has slightly forward midrange with less treble (more warm sounding))
From what I heard the ftx90 has a somewhat narrower midrange than those two.

Thanks for the reply.  I did read Joker's review on FTX90 ... is it safe to say the comfort level of using FTX90 for long periods (say 4 hours on the streets) is better than the two TDKs?
 
P.S. Currently I'm using Denon AH-560R which is quite comfortable.  However I feel its sounds are too V-shaped than I expected.

The golden ring on the BA200 is letting go. I've owned them for about 2 weeks now. So yes, the build quality is pretty low. Should I contact tdk, or the shop where I bought them?

They will probably ask me to send them over, so they can fix them. Aka, put some glue on it. 
Not to mention I'll have to wait for them atleast a month to come back, and I probably have to pay shipping fees.
 
Maybe I should just ask for a new pair, I have pictures proving it's broken? Yeah, fat chance I'll ever see that happening.

With the modded shure grey flex tips, you don't need any change in sound. The BA200s sound very neutral with them.

Well you haven't heard  ER6i-18c tips and orange dampers. Rin tested many tips and found the sweetspot with those, await his full analysis.

But it's pretty perfectly neutral as it is. I don't want it to change at all  
It could only change the sound signature, making it deviate from neutral.

I never said that, I said 'pretty perfectly neutral', which translates to pretty neutral, which translates too, more highs
 
Also, I noticed a thin midrange peak, making snares sound high pitched with the complies. These modded tips also solve that. The only thing I could ask for is more detail in the highs, but no filter or tip is going to provide that.
