Have been listening to the GL850 for a week and notice some strange things...
Most songs sounded amazingly holographic , super wide and deep sound stage. Amazing extension in nearly all frequency even at the 500-750hz this is where something strange occurs.. most songs are amazing I've not hear any headphones that excel in nearly all the frequency range like this however some tracks like Bruno Mars - Leave the door open and tracks with added warmth to the vocals.. they sounded abit boxy and wonky.. I dialed down the 500 and 750hz by -3db and the wonkiness is gone however the other tracks doesn't sound that good anymore .. this affects about 10% of the tracks I listen to, otherwise is a near perfect headphone..
Does anyone has similar experience?

What pads are you using? I experienced the same "shoutiness" (the way I described it) and resolved it by changing to perforated pads. Those pads were actually provided by GOLDPLANAR themselves randomly for free in the mail one day.

Thanks they provided are only perforated internally but not the whole ear pads. Any idea how I can order the fully perforated ones?

Haha.. maybe my brain is just to accustomed to V -shaped sound signature from all the earphones I had.

This headphones are really under rated About 1.5 weeks later it's just getting better. This is like hybrid between Heddphone, HD800S and LCD-3 , it has the punchiness and detailed bass the amazing highs and extension and yet not fatiguing and finally the amazing sound stage and warm lushious mids and at a amazing price. !
The cymbals, snare and drums sounded super realistic.
