Dang.. close to $500-600 worth of drivers and auxiliary components are crammed into this earphones. To think that Traillii has similar components and yet it is priced at $6000 boggles my mind.

@Dsnuts can you please try the Azla SednaEarfits Short pushed all the way in like above picture and let me know how it sounds to you? I think the center imaging got slightly diffused and overall sound became wonderfully coherent and smooth with a greater bass impact and definition. (default 020 setting)

Placed the order for TSMR Land, PAC480, and ePro Horn Tips today. I have four questions regarding Land though:

1. Why Land? I can understand Spark related to EST, but what does Land signify?
2. 1 balanced armature high frequency driver
2 electrostatic high frequency drive

A bit confusing here, since it is not clearly defined. Is the BA for Lower Treble and EST for Upper Treble?
3. Are the stock tips good? Do they affect sound in any way?
4. Has anyone used Spinfit CP155 with them? Do they sound better than the stock tips?

Thanks in advance...
Guys, can someone please answer these?

Guys, can someone please answer these?
1. I think it is called Land since it is the first and only Tansio Mirai iem with a dynamic driver so maybe it symbolises a more grounded bass.

2. I could be wrong but based on what I hear from EST drivers so far, they do not produce that much decay in the highs, which is why most people thought the early iems using EST sounded dark, having a BA driver in for the treble sort of produces the treble decay that is missing from EST drivers.
Again, this is based on my observation but it could all be wrong.

3. Haven't tried the stock tips, have mostly used Azla Sedna for most of my iems.

Thank you! That was a big help! I asked the first two questions to Chi as well.

Does it need wide bore tips so that the bass does not get overwhelming?

I don't think the bass on Land will get overwhelming, it is just right, weighty enough and a nice rumble but not so much as to overwhelm the rest of the frequencies.

Good, then I will try CP155 on them. Will be less difficult to mount. Although I have Flare everyday tips as well.

Start with black stock tips before change it.
Land EST are very very very well tuned to have fast, clear and airy sound.

I use the standard longer stemmed Sendafits but I have a few others with wider bores I can try that with. Will give it a shot tonight and report back.

Just tried the Penon Totem on the Sparks. Oh man. I can't tell you guys just how much these scale to better cables. It is yet another level over the Solars I was using before it. Vocals sounds stupendous on the Sparks regardless of cables but with the Totems it reaches a level I have yet to hear on anything I own. Cant get enough of this sound.

I use the same cable (CEMA version) and Spark sounds amazing.

Tansio Mirail Land - Another Excellent stunner IEM - Clear, detailed, transparent with augmented bass punch

First impressions impressive - exquisite looks, clear and transparent sound, with excellent bass, good mid range and good treble. The boosted bass in the Land is the main reason for complementing my Fearless S8Zs (which I absolutely love) with these.

Compared to aforementioned S8Zs, I perceive these less “airy” in the mid range/treble, and the sub bass is thicker. These are less vocal forward, and better suited for slightly different genres of music than the S8Zs. I generally perceive the tuning of these a tad “darker” and a bit warmer than the S8Zs.

Some reviewers of the Land have posted feedback on being too treble forward and “sharp”. I do not concur, but then again I’m a mid range and treble person. These are likely less prone to fatiguing than the S8Zs.

If negatives need mentioning, the presentation and accessories supplied with these are not as good as for the S8Zs. In fact I almost immediately exchanged the standard tips of the Lands with a spare pair of tips from my S8Z accessories.

The size of this IEM is not optimal for people with small cavum conchae and narrow ear canals, but for me no issue.

Will try different tuning using the switches as I burn in the set. As of yet (and after only a few and short different tries) I have tentatively settled for either of 023 and 123.

And...I fell for the temptation of ordering the PAC480 from Penon Audio...let's see what this cable does to the Lands...

Thanks for the recommendation!
Very nice pics of absolutely gorgeous IEM. The Land must be one of the best looking IEMs out there. Also excellent sounding, and after all sound reproduction is the purpose of IEMs. Not the sole purpose though...
Will see about ordering the HanSound Nyx once I have given the set some more mileage, and after doing the same with the Penon PAC 480s.
