Hello. Does anybody have recent experience with getting the Pro 82’s from the Xiao Mi World Store? I’ve read quite a few horror stories in this thread. Recent seller reviews have been quite good, though they have more stock than the TakstarAudio Store. Also, if anybody has experience with ePacket and Xiao Mi World Store specifically, please share it. Thanks.

They don't list their real stock numbers. They don't really have 758 Pro 82s, just like Music Huhu Store doesn't have 1798.
They just list a very high stock, and hope they'll be able to source actual Pro 82s from the factory when needed - which isn't always the right assumption.

I ordered pro82's from xiaomi world store and I thought I was a victim of fake shipping because of strange shipping info. Turns out I will receive the headphones tomorrow! 16 day delivery. Can't complain

Here are all 3 Pro 82s from the second batch:

Takstar did an excellent job ensuring consistency - which, unfortunately, can't be said about some TOTL manufacturers.
Great news for potential buyers too - they are likely to receive a headphone as great sounding as any of the 3 I measured.

Slightly different frequency response, as can be seen from the latest @BenF's posts. Not that the 2nd version is particularly much better over the other one (afaik), but some folks may prefer it.

Just asking to know whether this particular seller is already shipping the last revision.

I have the old version and I am satisfied with the bass on this but the treble can be too sharp for poorly mastered music making it fatiguing to listen to. Wish they didn't send me the old one.

You can easily reduce the effect on poorly mastered tracks:
Tuning Pro 82 with easy mods

Or you can buy the new version - it has an even more linear FR than the first batch.

For tracks there were flawlessly performed, recorded and mastered - first batch is preferable.
For the other 99.9% tracks - second batch will be much better.

1st batch - White cardboard box, 3.5/6.5mm adapter, 2.2m cable, 32Ω±15%, 96±3dB
2nd batch - Black cardboard box, no adapter (unless the seller put one in), 1.6m cable, 26Ω±15%, 98±3dB

How can I tell if I have first or second patch? Are we talking about the driver change from opaque to transparent or something else?
