Aliexpress starts a new sale on Monday - another great opportunity to purchase Pro 82/GM200 and DACs/Amps.
You can get free "3$ off 30$" and "5$ off 50$" coupons, and you can exchange Ali coins for "2$ off 20$" and "10$ off 69$" coupons.

Great chance to grab one. I've been enjoying them quite a lot with Dragonfly Black lately. Just waiting for USB-C to USB-B adapter so I can use the combo with my phone.

Also, I finally came around to make a video review.

TakstarAudio store doesn’t seem to have silver Pro 82 available this time...

Very nice review. Actually, I realized I had previously seen some other of your reviews. Good YT channel. :ok_hand:

However, I think the back of the ear cups is actually metal. After extensive use of my pair over the past years, one of them got slightly scuffed, and the material behind the black dye looks like metal to me...

Also, could you please share your EQ settings? Even if you later said they went really well with the DF Black w/o EQ, but just for experimentation.

Thanks!

hello, i been looking for this headphones for quite some time now, after so many good reviews about how it performs. but what concern me so much is durability. maybe someone who purchase this or the old pro 80 and already use more than a year can give me some opinion about how this headphones durability.

because as far as i know if you get so good sounding and performance for a very "cheap" price then there must be some sacrifice somewhere and from what i see from the photos and videos the built quality is the casualties. And i ever own some iem called soundmagic e10 that sound awesome but suffer in durability, the entire cable skin started to peel of from less than a year use and the final nail to the coffin is the entire earphones break apart.

and maybe anyone can give a little comparison against sennheiser hd 400s which is around this takstar pro 82 pricing in my country (a little bit expensive around $5-$10 more)

Thanks for the praise. As I mentioned I didn't really feel I had to use EQ after trying it with DF Black but for Musiland MU1, HIDIZS Sonata HD and FX-Audio DAC X6 I prefer using a bit EQ to warm the sound, it goes something like this depending on the player and available EQ bands:

125 Hz + 1.5 dB
200 Hz + 1.5 dB
4 kHz + 2 dB
8 kHz - 3 dB
12 kHz - 3 dB

for me that made the sound just a bit warmer/fuller and pleasant for longer listening with these leaner sounding DACs. DF Black sounds very muscly so it's giving some nice juice by itself.

Thanks! Will try it later with the FIR EQ in the Onkyo HF Player.

Btw @Aibo, you didn’t mention the KTB in that previous list of DAC and amps contenders. I understand the KTB is quite precise but perhaps a bit sterile sounding. Did you apply EQ to this system?

Best.

I have my Black #1 for over 2 years and my Silver #1 for almost 2 years - they have flown with me several times around the world, and I have driven thousands of miles with them (not on my head ) - they are as good as new.
What's the secret? Simple - PROTECTION.
When the Pro 82's are not on my head, they are either in a case, or on a headphone stand under a cover:

I would say, Pro 82's build quality is just as great as the sound.
They are not "beater" headphones - treat them with respect, and you'll get to enjoy them for a long time.

I haven't AB'd Pro 82 with HD400S, but I did with HD820 - and Pro 82 still won. So unless Sennheiser made a better headphone at 70$ than at 2200$, Pro 82 is a safe choice.

Looks something like this on my app:

Certainly makes Pro 82 more relaxed sounding, at the expense of losing some “air”, separation and that accurate detail that even until today surprises me at times while listening. I’m applying it to v1.

It could be convenient for some long, non-critical listening sessions. Thanks @Aibo!

Btw, having tried this EQ setting, I believe Pro 82 can be an excellent hp to try with the PowerDAC v2 — for those of you lucky enough to connect them on balanced.

Is that EQ for Pro 82 v1 or v2?

okay, i am very convince to this... and wondering is there any shorter cable replacement since i want to pair it with fiio btr3 to make this wireless headphones so btr3 will be clip on my shirt collar or on my shirt pocket or maybe there is even shorter connector so it can plugin directly into the headphones? since fiio btr3 is so small and lightweight i think it won't be a problem, just wondering is there any connector like that...?

is this the official store? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32808454492.html?spm=2114.12010608.0.0.620a5902zSEHKl

in my country i find a lot of local store that sell this headphones with different price ranging from $55 - $110, most of them that bellow $90 only offer 1 month shop/local warranty and rest of them offer 2 year replacement warranty. is this product have a fakes one? why so much different in prices?

and just curious if mostly i am hearing music from my macbook pro right now and have a plan (when saving enough money) to get fiio btr3 to stream from my iphone Xr (because they decided headphone jack is waste of space) how it is gonna perform against other shady bluetooth transmitter which cheaper by alot? oh and my music source is solely from spotify premium.

and also i am mostly hear music from all kind of anime soundtrack from ONE OK ROCK, RADWIMPS, FLOW, Aimer and others.. for english music i prefer song from ed sheeran, jason mraz and travis atreo.... will this headphones match my music taste?

right now i am using senn hd 202 which i purchase since 2012 and it is not the most comfortable or great sounding. how it is compared to this? do i will get somekind of great discovery with takstar pro82?
