So the right earcup driver in my Koss UR40 suddenly stopped working, and I was just about to throw it out, but I wonder:
Can I take the drivers out of a Koss KSC75 and put them into the my UR40's housing without having to recable / soldier any wires? I don't have a KSC75 yet, but I was thinking of ordering it instead of another UR40 and saving a little money (and having a little fun).
Would it fit? Has this been done before? If I do this, I would still get the same awesome soundstage as I had before, right? What do you think?
edit: I realize that I could take advantage of Koss's lifetime warranty, but the cost of shipping it to them and the $6 ship back, plus the wait time really turns me off. I'd rather just go order a new pair.
