Awesome review H20! You just made my craving for the h300 a lot worse! So excited...

So I've spent some more quality time with these earphones. I've been going through different sources as I got the impression that they were crying out for better quality inputs. So I put my phone aside and took my old Sansa clip out of retirement, and put on some of the better produced albums that I know and love.

And all I can say is WOW.

It's actually very rare that I get an IEM and I don't immediately get that sense of mild dissatisfaction and the urge to fiddle with the EQ. With the H-300 I find that the clarity and detail is such that I simply don't need to.

At the risk of exaggerating, with the right source, the quality of the sound is just staggering. I really think these can rival the detail and imaging of full size headphones in the $1000+ range.

Hopefully it's not just the honeymoon period, and I'll be enjoying these for years to come. Will be interesting to see what everyone else thinks :-)

And BTW, Judas Priest's Painkiller, perhaps the prototypical classic metal album, sounds absolutely magnificent! Give it a listen with the H-300s if you have the chance.

Oh, I'm sure somebody will come along with some FR Graphs to prove that they are, in fact, terrible IEMs

The two speakers are placed right next to each other and lie parallel to your ear hole when you put it on. I didn't buy this. It was just released late last week and they sent it to me for reviewing. They have another 3-way hybrid that also came out last week called the H-150 which has the same housing as this one.

Interesting...so H-150, H-200, and H-300 are all triple hybrids
